Hi blogger, today I'm writing about one of my favority photograhps. This is about the coup d'État and one of the protagonists, the ex president of Chile Salvador Allende. In this photograph we can see the ex president exiting the government palace, carrying a firearm and wearing a helmet, accompanied by his personal friends. This photograph was taken by Horacio Villalobos in 1973 and published by the New York Times one day after the attempt.
I like this photograhp because you can see the vigour of the president for confronting his deserters, trying not to lose the democracy in our country. This picture represents perfectly  the courage and conviction of a man who died fighting for his ideals and his homeland, also represents the beginning of the darkest age in chilean history.
Due to the context of when this photo was taken and everything that happened that day, I think it is really interesting.
What about you, reader?, what do you feel when you see this picture?
Let me know, Bye!
